Yes, one would have a 32-bit XP OS and I had to install from inside XP, I couldn't boot from the vista disk, it would hang at the point where I had to input something from the keyboard.

a reminder that FAT32 partitions have a file size limit of 4GB which can cause problems with image backups and burning DVDs on occasion. I installed vista beta (sp2) ... and it didn't fly very well on my pc (although, not for a lack of trying), so I decided to go back to XP Pro.
